Abstract
Introduction: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is the most common illness problem highlighted in male.BPH can cause a weak or interruption of urinary system or uncomfortable feeling during urination. Objective: This study is to determine the usage, side effects and the effectiveness of Tamsulosin and Alfuzosin as an Alpha Blocker group in treating BPH. Methodology: A retrospective sampling technique was use to conduct this study. 10 successful patient’s progression data between October 2010 until January 2011 in outpatient department Hospital Selayang were selected for this study. Result: The patient show some urologic progression for several months after taking the first time usage of Alpha Blocker. Some of the patient’s data presents Tamsulosin 0.4mg tablet bring more effectiveness than the Alfuzosin lOmg. Alfuzosin will come up more side effect, thus adding to patient’s discomfort. Conclusion: Most of the patient who having Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia symptoms become improved after taking all these two medications.
