Abstract
This study was conducted at the Forest Reserve on line UiTM Jengka Forest Reserve at Base Line 2: Line 11- Line 20. The main objective of this study was to know the distribution of Mahang (Macaranga spp.). We use Inventory methods where we measured 10 meters in width and length of 515 meters of forest (10m x 515 m). The entire forest area of the band 11-band 20 is 577,875 m2, or 3% of the total area of 250 acres of forest. From the research, the total of tree that were found are 173 which the tree will classify into 4 categories; mature tree ( > 45 cm), premature trees (30-45 cm), large poles (15-30 cm) and small poles (5-14 cm). The trees that dominated from this species are from DBH (15-30 cm) with the percentage was 64%. followed by category of dbh (5-14 cm) with 22%, (30-45 cm) with 11 % and the lowest is 3 % from mature trees. A range from the smallest to the largest number is: (15-30 cm) > (5-14 cm) > (30-45 cm) > 45 cm. In conclusion, this Macaranga spp. of many found in the forest than logging roads.
