Abstract
This design aims to create a pop-up learning space dedicated to exploring the artistry of Malay royal accessories. This sustainable structure harmoniously blends the warmth of timber with contemporary design to create an inviting atmosphere for students. The pop-up aims to educate and inspire, offering a unique platform to appreciate the intricate details and cultural significance of these traditional treasures. The pop-up will engage students through interactive displays and workshops showcasing Malay royal accessories. Site analysis informs passive design strategies like natural ventilation, shading devices, and material selection. Timber's thermal properties and aesthetic appeal align with the project's educational and sustainable goals, creating an immersive learning environment that connects students with Malaysia's rich heritage. The site analysis revealed optimal evening conditions, aligning with student activity patterns. A focus on interactive displays, informed by student feedback, will enhance engagement with Malay royal accessories, ensuring the pop-up becomes an effective educational platform. Hence, it is crucial to preserve and promote Malay heritage by offering an interactive platform for students to explore the artistry of royal accessories, fostering cultural appreciation and understanding.
