Turning visions into proposal: an MCTP grant workshop experience at UiTM Sarawak / Nor Hayati Kassim

On September 4, 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in the Bengkel Penyediaan Kertas Kerja Geran Acara Untuk Projek Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya organized by the Research Management Unit (RMU), UiTM Sarawak. As one of the four lecturers from the School of Information Science (PPSM), UiTM Sarawak Branch, this experience was invaluable, especially in our efforts to prepare a proposal to apply for a grant from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Performance (MCTP) Sarawak. The workshop was held in the Bilik Sarjana at UiTM Samarahan Campus and involved 12 groups from various faculties and units within UiTM Sarawak. Before the official workshop, we attended a preparation briefing on 29th August 2024. Dr. Wan Juliana Emeih Wahed from UiTM Global Sarawak (UGS), who has experience in securing grant funding for programs such as Come Discover Bumi Kenyalang 2023 (CDBK2023), Come Discover Bumi Kenyalang 2024 (CDBK24), and BatikDesCOM23, delivered an informative briefing. Dr. Wan Juliana shared essential tips and strategies for crafting a proposal that meets the MCTP criteria.
