Abstract
This research project aims to improve the quality of practicum supervision in terms of 21st century educational skills through a case study writing approach as an alternative training/retraining mode in Teacher Training Institutes in Malaysia. This research project applies a qualitative approach with three instruments namely case study template, online questionnaire and follow-up interview. This paper presents findings which comprises two phases of the study: (1) implementation of pioneer training/ retraining of Practicum supervisors using the case study writing, and (2) evaluation of the alternative training mode. Findings reveal positive feedback from the 20 respondents particularly in raising awareness and improving their skills in supervising their student teachers in terms of the 21st century educational skills.
