Abstract

Chinese furniture has evolved over a period of some 2,000 years, reflecting the attitudes, beliefs and styles of the time. It is important to bear in mind that the Chinese furniture were very flexible about the function of furniture, a piece was to be used and enjoyed to suit the occasion, the time and the place. Beside that in my thesis expose the material that usually that use in Chinese furniture such as hardwood, softwood and nonwood.
