Distribution of Eurycoma longifolia, Thottea grandiflora and Goniothalamus macrophyllus in UiTM Jengka forest reserve / Jannatul Ashikin Badarudin and Norhayati Nasrudin

The research was done to study the identification of Eurycoma longifolia, Thottea grandiflora, and Goniothalamus macrophyllus in UiTM Jengka Forest Reserve (UiTMJFR). The study is about 500 m x 20 m in Line 1 and Line 12 (1 hectare in each line). In this study, the distribution of Eurycoma longifolia, Thottea grandiflora, and Goniothalamus macrophyllus species in UiTMJFR was distributed randomly in study plot mainly at hilly area (steep slopes between 10° and 35°). A total of three species of these herbal plants is 52 individuals that can be found in UiTMJFR. In Line 1, there are species of Eurycoma longifolia (tongkat ali), Thottea grandiflora (hempedu beruang), and Goniothalamus macrophyllus (gajah beranak) with 4, 7, and 11 individuals respectively. In Line 12, there were Eurycoma longifolia (tongkat ali), Thottea grandiflora (hempedu beruang) and Goniothalamus macrophyllus (gajah beranak) with 2, 21, and 7 individuals respectively. The domination species that found are Goniothalamus macrophyllus (gajah beranak) with 50% in Line 1, but in Line 12 is Thottea grandiflora (hempedu beruang) with 70%. Mainly this three species herbal plants growth about 51 cm to 70 cm.
