English Club Mixer 2024: strengthening bonds with new club members / Noor Azli Affendy Lee

On November 9. 2024. the English Language Club hosted its annual Club Mixer at Bilik Bacaan Kristal and The Brick. The programme aimed to strengthen connections between new and existing members while fostering essential soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Recognizing the importance of balancing academic achievements with holistic personal development, the event featured various interactive activities, including team games, informal discussions, and an open mic session. These activities encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zones, collaborate effectively, and build meaningful relationships with one another. The event began at 5:00 PM with a meet-and-greet session, followed by ice-breaking group activities to create a positive and engaging atmosphere. Discussions and reflection sessions provided opportunities for participants to share ideas, express themselves openly, and develop mutual understanding. Afterward, attendees enjoyed dinner together at Kristal Cafe, fostering camaraderie over shared meals. The evening concluded at The Brick after Maghrib and Isya’ prayers with a casual gathering and an open mic session, offering a platform for informal social interactions and reinforcing the bonds formed throughout the programme.
