An investigation on the awareness of waste management in industrialised area / Mohd Zahier Zakwan Mohd Rozi

Nowadays, there are a lot of wastages being produces every year, months, weeks even every day. Wastages being produce by a lot of industrial building because of the increasing demands from the peoples. So, it is important to maintaining our environmental from being affected by the pollution which produced from the improper waste management system. This study is carried out to identify the waste management system being practices by the industrial building in industrialized sector. This study also will focus on the people’s opinion, knowledge and satisfaction on the waste management system surround them. This study will focus on the industrial buildings which mostly are factories which located under the supervision of several Local Authority which in the vicinity of Klang and Kuala Langat. Methodology used in this study consists of literature review, site visit, questionnaires and some interviews. Respondent for this study consists of the building operators and surrounding occupants which located at the nearby residential houses. Data which have been gathered is analyzed by using Microsoft Excel software.
