Abstract

The research was done to study the distribution of Dipterocarpaceae family in UiTM Jengka Forest Reserve (UiTM). The study plot is 20m x 500m along the line 3. In this study, the distribution of dipterocarp species in UiTM JFR was distributed randomly in study plot mainly at hilly area (slopes-10°). A total of six species of 47 individuals' dipterocarps species was identified and recorded in this study plot. There were Kerning (Dipterocarpus spp), Meranti Tembaga (Shorea ZeprosuZa), Meranti Melantai (Smacroptera), Meranti Kepong (Sovalis), Meranti (Shorea spp) and Balau Kumus (SZaevis) with 11, 14, 10, and 12 individuals respectively.
