Abstract
AL-Quran as a holy book for Muslim which consist of many rules that needs to be considered while reading Quran. It such a user manual which contain a complete code of conduct about all aspect of life for the Muslim. Nowadays, most Muslim around the world poor to recite Al-Quran correctly especially the non-native speakers. This is because lack of knowledge about Tajweed and also they do not know the general image of the word pronouncing. In addition, as a Muslim, it is compulsory to us to know the rules of Tajweed because even a minor different of sound in Arabic word can lead to a meaningless word in Quran recitation. Moreover, allocation of time using the conventional method to learn Tajweed is insufficient for a student to master the pronunciation. The conventional method becomes less effective and unsightly to be implemented especially towards the young generation. Therefore, the alternative solution to increase student’s interest to learn and help the teacher in the learning process is by creating an interactive Makhraj look-up table with multimedia approach to support young generation on learning basic knowledge of Tajweed focusing on visual illustration of general image on the way the text pronouncing. Other than that, this application also apply a camera function which represent as a mirror for user practices. ADDIE model was chosen in development of this learning tool. A pre-test evaluation is conduct to determine whether the user can already perform some of the objective. This learning tool have been tested by two expert persons in Tajweed and a group of fifteen students. Based on the result of testing and analysis, Makhraj Look-Up table technique can be implement in Tajweed class and appropriate for basic learners.
