Abstract

Research for density Profile from Payung Indonesia (Hura crepitans) has been done. Hura crepitans was obtaining as a raw material that is found from the Universiti Teknologi MARA, Pahang branch. Density of Hura crepitans were ascertained based on Diameter Breast Height (DBH). The research for studies about the effect of distance between heartwood and sapwood. The normal calculation method was used as a determination of density. From the research, Hura crepifans have high density near the pith (heartwood) where the density is 444.10 kg/m3 for green and 326.78 kg/m3 for oven dry. Therefore, as a result, details research about Hura crepitans should been carry out, which is can increase more uses in wood industry.
