Abstract

This action research was carried out to increase the interest of the Year 2 students in learning writing skill using the Microsoft power point slide.lt is believed that students do not have interest in learning writing skill because they feel that writing is difficult. The participants of this study are 35 of the Year 2 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Zainab 2. The data of the study were collected by using the pre interest test, post interest test and also a questionnaire. The findings from the instruments used show the increasing percentage of their interest in learning writing skill. The students become more interested in participating in the writing activity during the teaching and learning process. The participants have produced their own work by using the computer technology that is Microsoft Power Point. The study effectively showed that the used of Information and Communication Technology during the teaching and learning process can help students build interest in learning.
