Abstract

The UiTMJFR is a logged-over forest and this are is about 250 acres. This study was recorded the distribution of dipterocarpaceae family in UiTM, Base Line 2: Line 13. UiTMJFR have many species of Dipterocarpaceae. The species found in Base Line 2:Line 13 is keruing ropol (Dipterocarpus hasseltii), keruing mempelas (Dipterocarpus crinitus) meranti tembaga (S. leprosula), meranti melantai (S macroptera), meranti kepong (S ovalis), meranti pa'ang (S bracteolate), and balau kumus (S laevis) with 2, 6, 68, 5 28, 7, and I individuals respectively. Meranti tembaga is a high total distribution in this area. There are four groups Dipterocarps founded in this line. The group of Dipterocarps species is Dipterocarpus 7%, White Meranti 6% Red Meranti 86% and Balau 1%. This study also need specification in detects primarily about bole and leave. Each sample will collect to detect for make sure this from dipterocarpaceae family. The bole not exit latex when notch. The growing of Dipterocarps is influenced by suitable soil and the characteristic of soil.
