Abstract

SignGest is an innovative and sustainable technology solution designed to empower individuals with sensory impairments, particularly the deaf and blind community, by revolutionizing accessibility to smart devices and appliances. The problem of limited autonomy and engagement faced by these individuals in today's technology-driven world is potentially addressed through SignGest's novel approach to gesture-controlled accessibility. This innovation project aims to develop a user-friendly interface that allows individuals to control a wide range of devices such as lights, thermostats, and TVs, using intuitive hand gestures. The novelty of SignGest lies in its universal design and collaboration potential, offering a solution that goes beyond traditional obstacles to accessibility. By welcoming collaboration with major tech firms, SignGest presents opportunities for integration into existing devices, or the creation of new products designed specifically for individuals with sensory impairments. The impact of SignGest on users is significant, leading to enhanced autonomy, engagement, and quality of life. By instilling confidence and empowerment, SignGest encourages a more inclusive environment where individuals with sensory impairments can comfortably use wide range of home devices. Also, SignGest have a potential ability to penetrate mainstream markets while addressing the specific needs of individuals with disabilities positions. In conclusion, SignGest represents a transformative solution that holds the potential to reshape the way individuals with sensory impairments interact with their environment, ultimately promoting greater independence, inclusion, and empowerment.
