Abstract

The present study was conducted with the purpose of to determine the relationship between personality and type of sport among UiTM Pahang
students. 371 respondents participated in this study and stratified sampling method was used. Personality scales adapted from McCroskey (2007) were used in data collection. In this study the reliability coefficient obtained 0.902 which indicates high internal consistency of this questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Correlation Test. The result shows that there is no significant relationship between type of personality and type of sport among UiTM Pahang students. Students with introvert personality would be involved in the both individual sport and team sport and vice versa with extrovert personality.
