Abstract

Women's safety is a major issue in today's society. This is due to the weaknesses of the existing security systems. Although, there are many alternative security systems have been installed everywhere but are mostly ineffective in reducing the percentage of cases that occur. Because of these reasons, due to the evolution of technology, smartphones could be used efficiently for personal security. Many studies have developed security mobile applications using smartphones that have used GPS for tracking, authorised body besides siren of alarms to attract people who may be at the scene. Due to these problems, the Android Mobile Application for Women's Safety (WoSafe) was developed for women worker and female students who travel alone. It consists of GPS tracker, emergency call and alarm notification. The system used the android studio as a platform to deploy the applications.
