Abstract
The necessity for dependable weather protection has become more than ever in light of the recent string of harsh and unexpected weather events. This paper introduces a groundbreaking innovation in umbrella design, specifically tailored to address the challenges faced by students commuting to class in inclement weather. The suggested remedy, called SkyShield Umbrella, combines an innovative extended plastic ‘curtain’ with the conventional umbrella canopy to offer complete wind and rain protection. This extended cover provides sufficient space to protect the student and their things, including their backpack, so they can arrive at their destination dry and prepared to participate in academic activities. They also are more confident to come to school even though it is rainy outside. SkyShield Umbrella reimagines the umbrella as a crucial tool for student mobility, allowing students to pursue their academic goals without being hampered by inclement weather. The important thing is the SkyShield Umbrella can reduce student absenteeism to school.
