Fiber morphology of araucaria hunstenii according to heartwood and sapwood portions / Mohd Riduan Mohamed

Fiber morphology of Araucaria hunstesii according to sapwood and heartwood were ascertained. The variations of the fiber properties of Araucaria hunstenii portions were also determined. The sample representing with 20% for base, 40% for middle and 60% for the top portion. The results are indicated that the sapwood of Araucaria henstenii showed the highest value in fiber length. At the sapwood, it also show that the sell wall thickness are very appreciable to the tree high level. In terms of fiber analysis there were very significantly with the growth and height level. Generally, the results on the fiber properties of Araucaria hunstenii were achieved the target and standard equipments as Lightweight Softwood.
