Abstract
An EC (Electrical Conductivity) meter, also known as a conductivity meter or TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter, is a device used to measure the ability of a solution to conduct an electrical current. It's a crucial tool in various fields such as agriculture, hydroponics, aquaculture, environmental monitoring, and water quality testing. In other word, electrical conductivity is the measure of the concentration of ions present within a sample. It is calculated by the ability of a substance to transmit an electrical current over a defined area. Distilled water is a poor conductor of electricity - it contains no ions. Water with salts and other dissolved inorganic chemicals will have a higher ionic concentration, and therefore, higher conductivity level.
