Abstract
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission revealed that more than 85,000 people were treated in emergency rooms, doctor's offices, and clinics for luggage-related injuries in 2017. Many people suffered back, neck, and shoulder injuries, likely from struggling with heavy, luggage related injuries, which are too dense. A new innovation featuring triangular wheels aims to reduce muscle strain when climbing stairs. Through computational modelling, laboratory testing, and user testing, this research evaluated the effectiveness of Triangle Wheels in reducing the risk of injury and increasing user convenience. This innovative design provides a promising solution to improve safety and mobility in luggage transport, contributing to injury prevention and user wellbeing. This study suggests Triangle Wheels, an innovative solution to reduce the strain of carrying heavy luggage, especially when lifting luggage while on stairs.
