Factors leading to the issue of child pornography / Syahirah Hud and Grace Santih Malong

The purpose of this study is to study on the factors leading to the issue on child pornography. This research consists of independent variable (IV) and dependent variable (DV). IV for this research is the factors on the child pornography and the DV of this research is the issue of child pornography. IV for this study consists of three factors which are accessibility via the internet, children owned a handphone before the aged of 15 and lack of parents’ attention on their children activities. This research conducted according to the process to achieve the objectives. In this study, objective of the research is divided into three which are, to identity the issue on the factors contribute to child pornography. Next is to determine the relationship between the factors contributing to child pornography and issue on child pornography and lastly, to identify the most dominant factors contributing to child pornography according to the issue. In this research, the researchers use three different types of statistical test to measure the research objectives and to support the research hypothesis. The statistical test that the researchers used are mean and standard deviation, pearson correlation and multiple regression. Based on the findings, the study confirms the prevalence of child pornography issue become complicated and increase, in this case, the accessibility of the internet. The findings stated that the cyberspace pornography (beta value = .297) advocates the main factor that contribute issue of child pornography. Besides that, there is positive relationship between accessibility via internet towards child pornography. This study reinforces the belief that internet is a major big factor that cause the spread of child pornography issue. Based on the findings, internet is the most dominant factor contributing to child pornography. Lastly, the impact of this study is to give awareness also to educate parents about child pornography so that can decrease the number of pedophiles in country.
