Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that determine public education expenditure in Malaysia during the period of year 2003 to 2017. This study uses collection of data from secondary data. All data collected are comes from the World Development Indicator. The method of time series data that has been adopted in this research was carefully designed as to go well with the area of inquiry. This research used software of Eviews and being analysed by Ordinary Least Square method. The variable for dependent variable is public education expenditure and independent variables are GDP growth, inflation rate, population ages 0 to 14, population ages 15 to 64, population ages 65 and above, tax revenue and unemployment rate. The finding of this research shows that GDP growth, inflation rate, population ages 0 to 14, tax revenue and unemployment had significant relationship with public education expenditure. This study able to contributes the knowledge and understanding to the top management executives, policy makers and other decision makers in deciding what factors that will bring impact on public education expenditure in Malaysia.
