Abstract
This paper provides a general review of the use of piezoelectric energy harvesting, focusing specifically on its application in different shapes and array configuration. Piezoelectric energy harvesting is a technique that takes advantage of the ability of materials to generate an electric field when exposed to mechanical force, a phenomenon known as the direct piezoelectric effect. Piezoelectric transducers can be fabricated in various shapes and materials, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. To maximize the efficiency of piezoelectric devices in applications, a model is required to observe the generated power output. This paper not only discusses different aspects of piezoelectric modelling but also focuses specifically on piezoelectric transducer shape. Furthermore, it compares the performance of an array of piezoelectric transducers with and without ACDC to gain insight into their effectiveness.
