MUE732 : Technology in music education / College of Creative Arts

This course focuses on how music technology can be applied in music learning and teaching. Students discuss contemporary issues and developments in music technology, digital learning and new media transformative learning tools. Students learn about various computer applications in music education They are given hands-on experience with each application being explained in detail and demonstrated via workshops in a computer laboratory. Students are expected to be familiar in various terminologies and strategies that are used in applying technology in music teaching and in the advancement of classroom music. Students develop user-learner centred design methodologies and design creative learning- teaching environments for digital and hybrid learning and teaching.
