Abstract
The technological advancement that we achieved these days have brings a lot benefits in our daily life. People who want to travel from one place to another can do it with ease. The journey in which may take months in the past, has now been sliced to shorter time and in much safer ways. Moreover, the rapid development in Information Technology (IT) adds the advantage in our daily basis. For example, we can communicate with anyone at anytime, given the right condition. In business sector, more profits can be gained as the target market could be reach with ease because of the emergence of ecommerce. Furthermore, operational cost can be deducted with the help of IT and customers have the choice whether to shop online or the traditional way and business people can negotiate with their clients at home. However, it seems there are some drawbacks from the use of IT wonders. What could possibly be the negative impact after so much of benefits it brings to us? And how aware are the society about the negative impacts of IT? Hence, this study is taken in order to investigate the level of awareness among society which in this case will be focusing on students of UiTM on the issue of ewaste, one of major drawbacks from the intense use of IT.
