Go-Masjid: a website development for Masjid Kariah Taman Kelisa Ria / Nurul Shahirah Khairul Anuar

The advanced technologies nowadays make people want to access all the information conveniently and efficiently. In Malaysia, most of the mosques are still using traditional way to distribute information to their community. Several problems have been identified for this project which are lack of communication among mosque community and mosque committee, inefficient method of information dissemination and lack of available platform for mosque community to view updated event. This project aim to develop a Masjid Kariah Taman Kelisa Ria website. The objectives of this project are to identify the requirements of a web community for Go-Masjid, to design a web community for Go-Masjid and to develop a web community for GoMasjid. The scope of this project focus on mosque committee and community who manage and use the services in the mosque. This project uses PHP programming such as Sublime, MySQL and Xampp server for the development. The target user of this project are mosque committee members, mosque community and admin who will manage the system. With the community website, the mosque community can subscribe event notification and receive the notification via email. They also can update their profile details and using the chatting room for any enquiry. Mosque community and mosque committee are significance for this project, as they are able to view the updated events and activities of mosque and also able to access it using desktop PC or mobile devices. Additionally, the admin can update new activities, edit, delete the events, view the mosque community and committee details and approve profile details from committee. This project adapts Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC) model that cover up till the last phase which is testing. The outcome is concluded based on the users testing results use the features of subscription, responsiveness of the website and using chat room with other mosque community. For future recommendation this website will provide fund services like zakat where user can donate through provided payment gateway. Go-Masjid web community can help mosque community and committee to get effective information dissemination and improve communication.
