E-rekod Kaunseling System / Wan Ahmad Shimir Wan Abdul Hapiz

Counselling and Career Unit is a unit under the HEP of UiTM Shah Alam. The purpose of the counselling unit is to provide counselling services and career development program parallel with the desire of UiTM of producing graduates that are competitive and fulfills the industry needs. Because of the use of manual and paper system, the counseling unit faces problems such as data redundancy, wastage of time and possibility loss of data. The aim of this project is to determine the requirements of the E-Rekod Kaunseling System, to design and also develop the E-Rekod Kaunseling System. RAD model has been chosen as the methodology and are divided into four phases which are requirement analysis, user design, construction and cutover. The result of the project is the system developed proved to be successful in the eliminating the problems of data redundancy, wastage of time and possibility loss of data and ease the unit in handling the registration, making appointment, and generation of report that are needed by the Counseling and Career Unit. The project can be improved by integrating with SMS notification system and giving the client to make appointment by their own without the counselor’s help.
