Abstract

Foods can provide nutrients for baby to grow in healthy way and some nutrients can be gain from merely vegetables and fruits. The problem statement of this project is that Nurul Tasnim, a mother of 9 months baby is unsure on the suitable ingredient for solid food that baby can eat once they reach the age of six months and how many times a day that she needs to feed her baby. The objectives of this project are to identify the user requirements of Baby1: A Mobile Application Development for First Year Baby Food Parental Guide, to design and to develop Baby1 mobile application. Baby1 is a project that display homemade recipes from age 6 months to first year. Video of recipes, remainder that enable user to set time for having meals, useful tips and advice of vegetables and fruits on health will be the functions in this project. The chosen language for this mobile application is limited to English only. The methodology throughout this project is the Mobile Application Development Lifecycle (MADLC). The MADLC consists of seven phases which are identification phase, design phase, development phase, prototyping phase, testing phase followed by deployment phase and ended with maintenance phase. However, only five phases of MADLC will be used which are from identification to testing. The software that will be used for this project is Android Studio. The programming language use in Android Studio is both JAVA and XML script. The outcomes of this project are a mobile application complete with recipes from the age of 6 months to 1 year, tips and advice, video, time reminder and online purchase area where user can browse directly on other e-commerce online platform.
