Abstract

This paper is part of the course requirements for final students of Advanced Diploma In Business Studies ( Finance ) before finishing up studies. This project paper is a study on measurement of beta for industrial and finance companies and are mostly conducted based on secondary data. The purpose of this study is to determine the beta of each company and see its relationship with risk and return. Moreover, the study focus only on two sectors which are industrial and finance sector. Study on every sector is out of our scope. The result of the study appear to show that most companies have beta above the market beta and it indicates that those companies have high systematic risk and will gain high returns.
