Abstract

Our country today, has acknowledged the vast contribution of small business entities towards the development of the country and more specifically in bringing economic growth as well as social well being to the population. However, not with standing their success in helping to build the economic growth, these small business entities are not free from problems which may hamper or retard their survival. Lack and shortage of capital is one of the main finding of many empirical research as the cause of small business failure. Furthermore, for many Malaysian small scale entrepreneurs, lack of capital is highly correlated with their difficulty in obtaining bank loans. It is in view of that financial problems that this research attempts to highlight the available sources of financing the small business entities. It is hope that these finding may be useful for the small business entrepreneurs in seeking financial sources for their businesses.
