Abstract

In modem technology, many devices were created to improve our life. In this project the Telephone Remote Control (TRC) system for smart-home has been developed. The purpose of this project is to control appliance in the house automatically by using telephone line. For example windows, air conditional, light or fan. TRC used telephone line to switch appliance “ON” or “OFF” by selecting a proper number which refer to specific appliances. However, it’s unable to control many switch at the same time. It can be controlled using a hand phone or that we call to house phone. Digits “1-6” at the hand phone are use as a switch. It refers to two appliances or switch that we want to control in the home. The circuits of this device construct using many main ICs. These ICs play the important role to receive the input and produce the output in logic system either “1” or “0” to transistor. The transistor act as the switch when receive high signal. Then the switch will be on and current from the source flow to the relay and the circuit will be in close loop. Thus the telephone can use to switch “ON” or ’’OFF” the appliances also while being used for normal conversation. Once the switching operation is over, digit “6” is dialed turn “OFF” both switch. The advantages of this TRC system are can be used to control from a far distance compare to infra-red as long as there have telephone line, multiple appliance can be controlled using the TRC and saving time, low cost, improve and make our life easier
