Abstract

Back to previous year ago, population keep growth drastically and it was lead to the serious issues of environment including matter that raising in tenn of disposal of solid waste at landfills. Mainly area is for sure the urban area in our country, Malaysia whereby the communities will producing at least 15,000 tons of wastes per day compare to previous year which are 12,467.6 tons per day ( Seow, 2013). Therefore, anything that no more value or important or being use in the term of consumer s or household, it is considered as a wastages. Due to that, rapid development of economic and urbanization in Sarawak based on few decades before, it has intention that will lead to rapid generation of solid waste. According to the report that being published in year of 1999 by the Natural Resources and Environmental Board (NREB), it stated that around 400,000 metric tons of wastes are disposed at the various grounds and landfill, plus it also estimating that every single person will generate their wastes with total average of 0.67 kg per day.
