According to National Geographic, one estimate suggests 500 million straws are used every day in the United States alone while in Malaysia, studies show about 30 million straws are used every day. The most obvious issue regarding straws is when the straws could have ended up in the wrong passageway and gotten lodged in the reptile’s nostril. Those straws have contributed to the 5.25 trillion pieces of marine trash that have ended up in the ocean. Because plastic straw has brought a lot of harm to the environment, we are here with new ideas by bringing up three types of straws which are metal, paper and corn-starch straw as an effort to protect and maintain a healthy and clean environment for humans and animals in this world. Human behavior that often causes damage to nature will not run from making mistakes. However, awareness is also important to spread to as many people as possible so that this problem can be resolved quickly. StraWellla is a combination of three types of straw that we can use without worrying about waste that is disposed improperly. The main concern of making this type of straw is that the material can be reused, recyclable and durable without polluting the environment.
