Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between independent variables such as foreign direct investment, inflation rate, exchange rate, interest rate and unemployment rate towards economic growth in Malaysia. The annual time series data were obtained from World Development Indicator and covers the period between 1982 until 2017. In the process of findings, there are few types of analysis were tested using the E-Views 9 such as Multiple Linear Regression, normality test, unit root test and more. Based in the result, it reveals that three independent variable that are significant to economic growth which are foreign direct investment, inflation rate and interest rate. Meanwhile, another two independents which are exchange rate and unemployment rate have no significant impact towards the economic growth in Malaysia.
