Abstract

By implementing the top-down approach, the study will begin with broad pictures which then will be narrowed down to the focused topic. Overall, Chapter 1 consists of brief introduction regarding the topic that have been chosen. This chapter aims at the Islamic Banking industry in Malaysia as a whole and followed by the overview of macroeconomic variables and crisis during the selected time frame. The problem statement concerning about the influence of macroeconomic variables towards the Islamic Banking performance (ROA) in Malaysia are discussed in depth. Besides, the research objectives are stated as guidance throughout the research process. After that, research questions and hypothesis will be included inscriptively in this section. The significance and contribution towards the studies are examined in the following section. At the end of this segment, all chapters are precisely outlined for the reference purposes. It included 5 chapters that provide a summary and linkage to the upcoming chapters.
