Abstract

This course examines the use of colour and how we interpret it in everyday life by understanding where colours originate (in light) and how the colours of the rainbow combine to create the various colours (including white light). Besides gaining knowledge on how we perceive colour, students are required to study the interaction of colour and its use in art and design. Study of colour using hands-on approach of different techniques in water-colour, and water based media will be introduced.
