Abstract

Basic Islamic Learning (BIL) Board Game is a new innovation created specifically for basic Islamic study that brings interactive pedagogy method in enhancing the quality and understanding of the learner by all Muslim in Malaysia. Furthermore, this product is adapted from Pendidikan Asas Fardu Ain (PAFA) syllabus which is under the purview of Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) at national level and each states’ Jabatan Agama Islam, in which this PAFA is consisted of 17 topics. This product is suitable for the primary school students, secondary school students, and to the new relatives of Muslim that are better known as Muallaf or even for the beginners that are keen to improve their understanding related to basic Islamic knowledge. Other than that, this board game can be played in a classroom, expo, educational event, and with family at home. In other words, it allows the process of learning to be taken regardless of places and at the same time in more interactive way. This board game aim to accommodate the Muslims in nurturing and instilling basic Islamic knowledge from the beginning and it is interesting to play with group members joyfully that will encourage the process of ideas and knowledge sharing.
