The role of waqf in improving ummah welfare at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan / Izzah Syazalina Mohd Sari

This research will represent the problem arise on the role ofwaqf in improving ummah welfare and participation on waqf in economic, education and agriculture aspect. In the economic sector, the Islamic public good waqfhas been the focus of much scholarly attention, but have yet to be examined in a theoretical framework which would interpret its workings as an institution and relate them to their economic performance. However, some studies also found that there is no relationship between awareness and education. Beside, some research found that education is not related to waqfand the role of waqfin improving ummah welfare. In the agriculture sector, there exist many managerial and financial issues in such categorizing of the waqf land or agriculture as it should be managed with qualified managers for attaining the goals in the waqfsystem. In addition, waqfofland also the factor the role ofwaqfin improving ummah welfare. Thus, in this research aims to investigate the relationship among independent variables which is economic sector, education or agriculture with dependent variables which is the role of waqf in improving ummah welfare among the Muslim respondent in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The 150 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents and the data were analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to make the evaluation more accurate. This study has runner and proving that the findings shows economic variables is the most dominant from others variables as the role of waqf in improving ummah welfare at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
