Abstract
This course covers the basic concepts of chemical thermodynamics and includes useful applications of thermodynamics concepts, particularly energy calculations in a reaction. The topics include an introduction to thermodynamics, properties of pure substances, energy analysis of closed system first law of thermodynamics and its application in closed and open systems, enthalpy, entropy, second law of thermodynamics, the Gibbs function and third law of thermodynamics.
