Abstract
This course aims to introduce students to the importance of research in nursing practice and the relationship between evidence-based practice (EBP) and patient quality/safety and professional growth as a developing Registered Nurse. Students will be introduced to a systematic review process, EBP and develop an understanding of its relationship to research for understanding nursing phenomena. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the role of nursing staff in the ethical conduct of healthcare research and how to write a winning research proposal.
