Abstract

Stock is one of important element in an economy because stock market play role in the growth of key sector of the economy. Stock can give higher profit and return to the investors. The purposes of this research paper is to investigate the factors that affecting performance of stock prices in Malaysia. The researcher are using the data of stock prices from 30 companies that listed in Bursa Malaysia from finance and plantation sector and it covering period for 10 years from year 2004 to 2014. To analyze factors that affecting performance of stock prices, researcher are using interest rate, inflation rate and exchange rate as independent variables. For the data collected, researcher using Panel Data of STATA to make an analysis. The result shows that inflation rate and exchange rate have significant relationship with the stock prices while interest rate have no significant relationship with the stock prices.
