FFC532 : Motion picture lighting / College of Creative Arts

This course exposes and train students to practical cinematography, the principles of film lighting with in-depth technical plus theoretical explanations, and hands-on experience. Lighting is a vital aspect of cinematic storytelling. Although the aim of this course is to equip student with basic lighting skills as well as how they apply to the visualization of a narrative or idea, this course would also increase student understanding of ‘control of light’ and, giving them confidence to cope with various lighting scenarios. Through a series of hands on exercises student will explore how to control their images. This course will be taught by combination of lectures, workshops, and tutorials.
