Abstract

Never crossed in my mind that I get the opportunity to perform my internship in my dream workplace, the PETRONAS Refinery & Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd. I've been looking forward to work here since they began their construction 2014. The purpose of my internship was to apply my academic knowledge and skills in a practical setting, while learning from industry experts. This executive summary provides an overview of the key findings and experiences during my internship, along with implications and recommendations for academia. During the internship, I observed the fast-paced nature of the industry, particularly in the * era of digitalization. Excel has become an indispensable tool for calculations, replacing manual methods and facilitating smoother and faster processes. Additionally, the adoption of Microsoft's Power Bl has proven to be valuable for analysis, reporting, and presentations. Though I encountered some challenges, they served as opportunities for personal growth and development. My positive attitude and determination helped me overcomes these obstacles. Based on my experience, I recommend that academic institutions, like beloved UiTM, to revise their syllabus to align with industry needs. Incorporating practical skills like Excel proficiency and Power Bl application will better prepare future graduates for the dynamic business landscape. In conclusion, my internship has been an enlightening journey, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge that extends beyond the classroom. Embracing the industry's digital advancements and addressing challenges has contributed significantly to my growth and understanding of real-world business practices.
