Abstract

Titanium (Ti) alloys, particularly known as vanadium-free titanium alloys, have become the focus of research due to their outstanding and potential properties in biomedical applications. Due to the less compatibility of a-type Ti alloys, P-type Ti alloys have been marked as valuable materials in the current research due to their lower modulus, and they can satisfy most of other requirements for an ideal metallic biomaterial. Hence, the aim of this work is to focus on developing a novel or new material of P-type Tialloys as an alternative material for orthopaedic human bone. Furthermore, the study of concentration dependence for binary and ternary Ti alloys is required to alter certain properties to reach a good requirement value. This present systematic study has been completed by observing the structural, electronic and mechanical properties of a and Pphases of Ti, binary Ti and ternary Ti alloys systems.
