This Industrial Training Report is a comprehensive summary of the journey I experienced while working as an internship student at Lima Bintang Logistics (LBL) Sdn Bhd, Johor Bahru, over the course of 24 weeks. This report aims to demonstrate my industrial training process over the period of these 24 weeks, including job experiences like dealing with staff, adaptation to working in the real world, and knowledge and skills acquired, including both professional and personal growth. I attended the first day of my industrial training on May 1, 2023, and was assigned under Miss Afiqah, the Human Resource Officer of Lima Bintang Logistics, Johor Bahru. I was assigned to the Business Process Department, or as others call it, the Quality Assurance Department and I have been transferred to the admin department starting from 17th July 2023. This industrial training report includes information about the company, my profile, my training reflection, the company’s SWOT analysis, my recommendations, and the conclusion. The company's competitive position, including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, will be assessed using a SWOT analysis. This report will overview my performance during my industrial training while observing the company by doing the SWOT analysis, evaluate the performance of Lima Bintang Logistics, and give concrete recommendations for further improvement. The strengths of LBL are its wide geographic presence and the success of a variety of services. Other than that, comfortable office buildings and slow work progress are other factors in LBL. In addition, LBL becoming a private-owned company and LBL leveraging digital technologies are the opportunity factors for LBL, while the threat factors would be customer behaviour, the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the increase in competitors. As a logistics solutions provider, Lima Bintang has come a long way from its involvement in domestic and international freighting, providing a large scale of innovative and customised solutions for all freight and logistics needs.
