Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of school counseling service function among student. This study was conducted at SMK Bongawan Sabah. Two hundred sixty-nine students participate in answered the questionnaire develop by the researcher. There are three objective of this study it is; to identify the most significant factor that lead students get counseling services, to investigate the students perception towards the importance of school counseling services function and to investigate the relationship of school counseling services among student based on the age of students. The result indicate that the most important functions of school counseling servies was Academic guidance and development, followed by Career guidance and development. Social and personal were percived as least important by the students.
