Abstract

Learning styles are various approaches or way of learning. They involve educating methods, particular to an individual that are presumed to allow that individual to learn best. Academic achievement or (academic) performance is the outcome of education in the extent to which a student, teacher or institution has achieved their educational goal. The research dealt on the learning styles of high and low academic achieving student of secondary school of the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tengku Bariah and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sungai Tong. By this research, researcher could know what the most prefereble learning style toward of high school students. The learning preference were divided by four such as visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic. The researcher use method such as questionnaires to collect the information. With research show that the high and low achiever still use the same learning style in which the visual learning style preferences but only differentiate between both group were disciplines and attitudes of their own selves.
