Abstract

There were tenders in Malaysia, among them were open tenders. Open tender method provides the best possible value for money. It ensures a healthy and competitive marketplace with companies providing the best services It was the preferred competitive public procurement method used for acquiring goods, services, and infrastructure works. The purpose of this report was to explain more on procedure of selecting the main contractor for open tender. There were several of evaluation that need to be check. Such as commercial evaluation, technical evaluation, financial evaluation etc. Commercial evaluation was a comparison in tender price, technical evaluation was assessment in technical terms and financial evaluation was an evaluation on contractor financial support. Three methods have been undertaken which was observations, interviews, and documents review. Evaluation of tender was important to get the best and suitable contractor for this project.
