Abstract

In order to retain the long-term advantages of road transportation, it is necessary to keep the roads in excellent shape. The continuity of transportation services and the resulting advantages are what we mean when we talk about "sustainability" in relation to road developments. This report will discuss about the importance of infrastructure maintenance works. The aim for this report is to restore the road and keeping each type of road, roadside, and structure as close to its original condition as possible. The method that been use in Majlis Perbandaran Manjung is observing the defect such as crack, pothole, gap, dampness from the complaint. Then, continue to the road maintenance works process that are demolition and removal, prepare the sub-base, base courses, binder and surface course, final roll and lastly road painting. This report also focusing on the problems that have occurred and the solutions that have been implemented to solve the problems. A road's condition deteriorates over time as a result of traffic usage (the expected and unexpected wear and tear) or neglect. To maintain a cost-effective and efficient road network, this activity is necessary.
